Abstract

This research deal with the problematic of student’s early desertion at UTN-FRSF. For this research a set of indicators were developed based on socieconomic and academic data of the students from engineering careers (Mechanical, Information Systems, Industrial, Electrical and Civil) at UTN-FRSF, corresponding to the 2005-2009 academic periodo. Those indicators were built with data obteined from the Decision Support System developed at this
Regional Faculty. This information is useful in order to identify the factors involved in early desertion and recognize the groups of risk in order to design desertion’s prevention and permanence politics.
