Abstract

In order to have a system to assess the status of fuel storage facilities in accordance with the Protocol of Audit for Non Underground Establishments (Resolución S.E. N° 1102/04 – Decreto Nº 10877/60) that quantitatively includes subjective aspects, eight fuzzy logic based systems of different complexity, each of them with Mamdani or Sugeno type fuzzy inference methods and fuzzy groups with different levels of superposition , have been designed and applied. The performances of the eight systems have been compared against the results of different difficulty level audits, carried out by a qualified auditor accredited by the National Secretary of Energy. It was determined that the less complex fuzzy system with cero order
Sugeno Inference method and fuzzy group with high superposition is more appropriate, robust and reliable in the evaluation process of the facility status.
