Abstract

The economic and social environment in which it currently operates the agricultural sector calls for greater participation of farmers and strengthening their organizations and forms of representation. In Mendoza, which accounts for 95% of the area planted for dried plum of Argentina, of which 87% of it is in the hands of small farmers who do not exceed 5 hectares, it is essential the association of these units sized commercial viable, effective and integrated, since, due to its small scale, face difficulties in accessing technical advice, to finance, purchase of inputs at lower prices, selling their products at the best price, access to current information, among others. In this sense, this paper presents the results of the analysis of potential association between dried plum growers in southern Mendoza
