Variações no método de síntese de UiO-66-NH2 para esterificação catalítica de ácido levulínico.

A tendência crescente de substituição parcial dos combustíveis derivados do petróleo por aqueles provenientes da reavaliação da biomassa assumiu grande importância nos últimos tempos. Por isso, o presente trabalho propõe a obtenção de ésteres levulínicos por meio de uma reação catalítica de esterificação do ácido levulínico, molécula de plataforma, com diferentes álcoois. Para isso, foram sintetizados nanocatalisadores de MOF, os quais foram utilizados como catalisadores (UiO-66-NH2), consistindo em zircônio como fonte de metal e ácido aminotereftálico como ligante orgânico. Uma alternativa de síntese é apresentada por meio da agitação ultrassônica à temperatura de 60 ºC e variação do tempo da mufla. O objetivo era conseguir uma síntese em condições mais favoráveis e melhorar as propriedades estruturais dos catalisadores. Eles foram analisados por difração de raios X, espectroscopia de infravermelho, microscopia eletrônica de varredura, espectroscopia de emissão atômica com plasma de micro-ondas, isotermas de adsorção de N2 e espectrometria de fotoelétrons induzida por raios X. O progresso da reação catalítica foi seguido por cromatografia gasosa e espectroscopia de massa. Parâmetros como temperatura, massa do catalisador e razão molar dos reagentes foram otimizados, visando melhorar o desempenho catalítico. Para todos os ésteres levulínicos, o MOF que apresentou maior atividade e seletividade ao produto desejado foi aquele obtido com tempo de síntese de 6 horas, com rendimento de 77,54% para levulinato de metila, e 34,58% para levulinato de etila e 31,41% para levulinato de butila.
