Abstract

In this paper we study the social representations of potential students to careers in engineering at theFRSF – UTN, related to what it means to be an engineer and an engineering student.
From the results, it is possible to think about what could be the students’ expectations that should be answered considering the instruction and competencies that a new engineering student should already have at the moment of start an engineer career.
