Abstract

Under the premise of satisfying the needs for flexibility and diversity in the data storage field, MongoDB has achieved popularity over the last years, allowing the storage of data without the need to previously define a schema. Several methodologies have been developed for semantic technologies implementation based on relational databases. On the contrary, the use of semantic technologies based upon non-relational databases is still a novel area.
This work presents a qualitative comparison of 3 tools (Morph-xR2RML, Tripod, and MongoGraph) for the extension of MongoDB’s semantic capabilities.
