Abstract

The installation of environmental issues within the priority agenda of society generated that universities, through their relationship with it, are forced to develop knowledge in the field of everyday problems such as waste disposal, treatment of effluents, drinking water quality or obtaining alternative energy, as well as provide services for monitoring environmental variables that may affect the health of people or the environment. From CIQA it is seek to answer the request of the society, the state and the productive sector. This has led to the incorporation of equipment, the development of new analytical techniques, training of personnel, implementation of quality systems and the development of knowledge through research projects, thesis or special work jointly in Academia-Industry.
