Abstract

In relation to customers, current e-commerce strategies must have processes to guide their decisions, with computing platforms configurations that ensure quality of service. Performance evaluation of e-commerce by simulation provides information for decision making, prior to implementation. The aim of this work is to model and simulate a process of e-business to get business metrics and computing platform performance metrics. The business process is type Business
to Consumer (B2C), with which customer behaviors regarding purchases are studied, being the objective to maximize profits. Simulation focused on discreet events applies, using DEVS JAVA tools and a design of experiments is performed,
in order to define the significant factors on the metrics to evaluate the best conditions for performance of the technology platform and business.
