Abstract

This work presents the design and implementation of an intelligent hydroponic system for cultivating medicinal plants in a controlled environment. Aligned with the principles of Industry 4.0, the project aims to automate and digitalize the monitoring of key environmental parameters to ensure optimal plant growth. A waterfall methodology was employed, allowing for a structured and sequential development—from component selection to the final integration of the system. The resulting setup automatically regulates factors such as temperature, humidity, and pH, while recording real-time data through digital tools. This innovative approach enhances precision, efficiency, and sustainability in the hydroponic cultivation of medicinal plants, a process traditionally carried out manually. Furthermore, the developed model is adaptable to various environments and crop types, representing a significant contribution to the modernization of agriculture through emerging technologies
