Abstract

The main features of the first mini-distillery for production of bioethanol agroindustrial dry milling process with cold cooking system are presented. The mentioned plant was developed in association with professional engineers of the project area of Porta Hnos SA and investigators from the GISIQ of FRVM.
The mini-distillery was built and started by Porta Hnos SA and it is offered as an alternative technology for low-cost processing of corn and other cereals. It operates in the same place of production of the raw material, resulting in an attractive option for remote agricultural areas in which transportation costs discourage their production.
The development stage for the cold cooking process experimentally was developed. As the main conclusions reached are efficiency, the autonomy of operation and the demand of a minimum requirement of staff with basic training for management stands.
