Abstract

This work introduces a methodology based on multivariate statistical analysis for monitoring electrical power quality. Well-established statistical techniques -such as Principal Components Analysis (PCA) and correlation linear factors between variables- are used with the aim of finding relations and indicators underlying in the raw measurements of electrical variables. In the present work, data were obtained from six measurement campaigns. The motivation and originality of the proposed methodology aim at determining a systematic quantification and qualification of the electrical power quality based on typical measurements of the quality power supply. Although results are still preliminary, the proposed methodology seems to be viable and promissory.
