Desarrollo de Balanza Externa para Túnel de Viento

Abstract

This paper deals with the development of the prototype of one external scale for the LAyF’s main wind tunnel. Balance design details are indicated as well as its manufacturing and calibrating process. Its behavior is finally evaluated by means of wind tunnel testing of a benchmark wing. The scale was found to work properly within the foreseen limitations. This experience allowed to obtain valuable design information which will be used for the developing of the definitive scale.
