Abstract

This work shows the data of different pollution levels by NO2 (nitrogen dioxide) found in the cities of Mendoza, Rosario and Santa Fe. Those cities have different characteristics, and about this are interesting to compare the simultaneous study environmental pollution in them. An analysis of the records obtained, it appears that pollution levels are not uniform.
The NO2 was sampled with Palmes tubes, passive monitoring system based on molecular diffusion of the pollutant in the air on a specific substrate, into an acrylic tube.
In the city of Mendoza, were the highest values, followed by Rosario and at a level below Santa Fe. These differences were expected since the beginning of the measurements, due to climatic conditions and building construction in Mendoza City impede the removal of pollutants emitted by vehicles. In Rosario lower values were expected to Mendoza but higher than in Santa Fe because these two cities have similar weather conditions but different densities of traffic and building highs.
