Ejemplos de Prueba para Programas de Elementos Finitos

Abstract

In the present work we show selected examples for teaching the use of finite element programs applied to Elasticity in the undergraduate Engineering program. The cases selected, with the analytical solution or known numerical result,
constitute tools to achieve different objectives, such as the learning in the use of calculation programs using finite elements and the understanding of the steps involved in modeling structures using the method - especially in canned programs- the correct interpretation of the results obtained, the evaluation of the performance of own development programs, among others. The collection of examples will be of support in courses where the method is applied, as well as for the teaching in extracurricular courses in order to introduce the students of Engineering in to the use of finite element programs for structural analysis.
