In this paper we develop an hydrodynamic model of a non-magnetized plasma flow, accelerated under the action of only two forces, one due to the pressure gradient and the other the gravitational one. Phenomenologically we fix the topology of the flow from an observationally based plausibility criterion. The discussion of the thermodynamics associated with the flow shows that in the case of stars whose wind is not generated by radiation pressure, or that do not have a corona, the values obtained for temperature are higher than those measured, and that only under extremely particular conditions could a wind compatible with the observations develop.
