Caracterización Mecánica de la Madera de la Especie Eucaliptus Rostrata
Abstract
The Argentine Wood Structures Regulation CIRSOC 601 incorporates in its Supplement 1 reference design values for the structural use of sawn timber of three species cultivated in our country, leaving a void on many that can be used for structural purposes. In order to be able to use the wood of Eucaliptus Rostrata (Camaldulensis or Colorado), species implanted from the central area of the Province of Santa Fe, the mechanical characterization is performed using table-type cross-sections, determining the characteristic values of Resistance to Flexion, Modulus of Global Elasticity and Density, according to the IRAM Standard 9663, on a sample of 50 tables tested in flexion.
