Abstract

High performance parallel computing systems are used to solve complex problems such as volume rendering. This paper presents the implementation of communications system with the following characteristics: best effort, energy efficient and fault-tolerant used to solve real-time photorealistic rendering. In order to achieve these objectives, a system is proposed that used UDP in Transport layer, IPv6 (unicast - multicast) in Network layer and Gigabit Ethernet with flow control in Link layer. Finally we present some experimental results.
