Abstract

The aim of this paper is to describe the operational unbalance range which appears or might appear nowadays in the Argentinean distribution system observing the relevant national regulations, in order to compare the results obtained
with international standards. For that purpose, the possible maximum ratio between the negative and positive sequence components (according to IEC and IEEE) is determined by means of an especially developed genetic algorithm. This paper also shows a series of unbalance measurements obtained at different points in the low-voltage electrical distribution system.
