Abstract

Global software development settings, where stakeholders are geographically distributed, grow on all world, including Latin American. These novel work environments impact on performance of traditional methods and tools used in software development. Software requirements process is strongly affected by these global settings because this process involves a lot of human communications which are harmed by geographical distance. Grounded in experimental studies this article presents a software requirements engineering process model to distributed software development. This model includes elicitation techniques and communication tools.
