Abstract

Under the slogan “Contributing to the strengthening of culture, education and research in Physics”, the Symposium on Physics Education Research (SIEF XVII) was held on October 2-4. It is the first time that Concepción del Uruguay is the host city, having as organizing institutions the Association of Physics Teachers of Argentina (APFA) together with the Faculty of Science and Technology Local Headquarters of the Autonomous University of Entre Ríos (FCyT UADER) and the National Technological University Regional Faculty Concepción del Uruguay (UTN FRCU). The opening ceremony was held on October 2, at the Municipal Auditorium “Carlos María Scelzi”, starting at 9 am with the accreditation process.
This is the most important event in the country in the field of Physics Education research, being its target audience researchers in physics education and related areas; teachers of all educational levels and students of science teacher training, interested in research and innovation in science education; and graduate students in the area of science education.

Through the presentation and discussion of papers, the development of round tables and conferences, relevant issues that contribute to improve science education at all educational levels were analyzed and debated, awakening and motivating vocations towards research in science education as a bridge to scientific literacy for all.
During the first two days, lectures were given by distinguished speakers such as Dr. Agustín Aduriz Bravo, Dr. Diego Petrucci, Dr. Marta Massa, Dr. Alejandra Domínguez, Dr. Irene Arriassecq, Dr. Sonia Concari, Dr. Andrea Pacifico, Dr. Hugo Navone, Dr. Leonel Navone, Dr. Leonardo Petrucci, Dr. Leonel Navone, Dr. Hugo Navone, Dr. Leonel Navone, Dr. Leonel Navone, Dr. Leonel Navone, Dr. Leonel Navone, Dr. Leonel Navone, Dr. Hugo Navone and Dr. Leonel Navone. Hugo Navone, Dr. Leonardo Rufiner, Eng. Prof. Mario Cwi, Dr. Laura Buteler, Dr. Ileana Greca, MSc. Diana Herrero Villareal (Costa Rica) and Dr. Silvia García de Cajén; while during the Symposium, face-to-face (at FCyT and UTN FRCU) and hybrid activities were carried out.
This book contains the abstracts of the papers presented at the symposium.
