Abstract

Based on what was investigated in previous studies by a group of FCEIA researchers from UNR and UTN FRSN, this work proposes to delve into the teaching skills and competencies necessary to promote teaching that can cope with the current transformations in Higher Education, and particularly in Industrial Engineering. This entails detecting needs, pointing out strengths and opportunities, revealed through analysis tools, sourced from surveys and interviews with various actors from both institutions. This study seeks to conclude what the specific needs could be to reinforce training and collaborative alliances, in order to face current challenges and describe a possible profile of the current teaching professional, with a focus on people management, mastery of good practices, student involvement, considering the singularities of the context (as a teaching agent) and mastery of the learning environment.
