Abstract

The objective of this work is to demonstrate the results obtained by having implemented research on topics related to the career and the subsequent presentation in the form of a monograph and its oral presentation. In the teaching and learning process based on competencies, the active participation and interaction of students is important so that full learning is achieved, with the help of information and communication technologies, tools that young people incorporate with ease. greater speed and naturalness. The methodology used consists of research and subsequent oral presentation of a research work in monograph format, in front of the members of the course. The conclusions reached show that these instances of active participation (group or individual) in research work and its subsequent oral presentation, enhance cognitive development, know-how and know-how, favoring the student in knowing how to be. . In this framework of competency-based and student-centered learning, a change in the teaching role is necessary, being a guide in this process, incorporating new technologies within the chairs and paving the way towards open innovation that includes artificial intelligence, educational robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, among others.
