Abstract

In this investigation, prismatic specimens (CPP) with dimensions of 45x80x90 mm molded with concrete, structural mortar, polymeric mortar and graute were used. Each CPP with two CA 60 Ø 5.0 mm steel bars inserted. The bars were used in three conditions: zinc-based protective paint, no protection and nitrite-based protective paint. The physical properties of the materials, such as compressive strength, water absorption and electrical resistivity, were measured in cylindrical samples (CPC). The CPPs were subjected to drying cycles for five days in an oven at 50 ° C, followed by two days of wetting by partial immersion in 3.5% NaCl solution. After each cycle, the corrosion potentials were measured with equipment with high impedance voltmeter and copper / copper sulfate half cell. Thus, data were obtained that allowed comparing the efficiency of concrete, structural mortar, polymeric mortar and graute against chloride attack. It is desired to discover which material has a better performance. There is a research will finish on 12/16/2019.
