Abstract

Training in Engineering careers in the Argentine Republic is undergoing changes in curricular design, competency-based training model and new course modalities. The new curricular designs of the National Technological University courses approved in 2022 are adopting these characteristics. After the design of the new teaching plans for Engineering and Society of the Bahía Blanca Regional Faculty, they received the call from the University's Institutional Distance Education System to design and implement a bimodal course experience. This work analyzes achievements and difficulties in the development of this training modality during the second semester of 2023 and the first of 2024. It is a descriptive educational research whose methodology is based on obtaining relevant quantitative and qualitative data on significant learning variables. It is part of a Research Project. The incipient analyzes show the relevance of the activities designed to achieve expected results and the formation of some competencies, and improvements and enrichments are also proposed.
