The experience in education in digital environments that occurred during the pandemic, and the framework of the challenges imposed by the curricular adaptation that is occurring in engineering careers, finds our Faculties of the National Technological University (UTN) with a deficit in the offer of subjects in alternative modalities to the traditional face-to-face option.
Taking into account the results achieved from the Department of Engineering and Society of the Avellaneda Regional Faculty with virtual teaching during 2020 and 2021 in the context of a health emergency, added to a pilot experience in the 2022 school year, we formed a team of research and developed a PID-UTN Project where we propose to address the problem of incorporating curricular activities in digital environments for engineering careers at UTN. which was approved and began activities in April 2024.
We present some advances regarding the incorporation of the virtual modality as an alternative for teaching basic subjects in the first years of engineering careers.
