Abstract

Learning objects are computer-executable educational resources that encourage and promote the knowledge construction process by launching the autonomy and motivation of the student. To improve the chances of success, it is required that such resources meet certain patterns of technical and didactic-pedagogical quality. Therefore, in this work, it is presented the knowledge-base of a recommender agent, whose objective is to assist professors without experience in Instructional Design during learning objects development. This knowledge-base is an ontology network that models unlike aspects of learning objects domain among which are Instructional Design methods, the conceptual structure of the knowledge to be learned, a methodology of learning objects development, and LOM metadata structure that facilitates their storage, search, and retrieval from repositories accessible through the Web.
