Abstract

At the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Mar del Plata there is a Career Guidance Service, whose objective is to meet the demands regarding job placement and the design of the professional project of advanced students and recent graduates. This article aims to show the results of experiences designed for the training of transversal skills based on the simulation of group job interviews, developed with students from the academic unit. The theoretical framework of reference is competencies, self-efficacy and the employer demand model. The methodology used is qualitative, through the description of the proposed experiential strategies, in which determining variables are presented to understand the behavior of the different groups evaluated based on the work modalities. Three experiences carried out during 2021, 2022 and 2023 are described. Regarding the results obtained, there is a great willingness in the students to carry out the workshop, to participate and obtain feedback on their performance. It is expected to continue replicating this type of actions that collaborate in the training of skills that allow a better projection of the professional career.
