Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to present the level of progress of the doctoral thesis which has the general objective of: “Determining and comparing the impact on different deformation process and heat treatment routes of Ti alloys that facilitate the development of an ultrafine grain structure, with potential industrial scaling possibilities. By means of techniques such as asymmetric rolling, sheet deformation by shearing in an angle channel, additive manufacturing and a suitable combination of them and/or subsequent heat treatments. Within the framework of this thesis, different techniques of characterization, are used to study the different deformation paths which, in short, make possible, the development of micronanometric sized grains.
