Abstract

The radial interferometric transfer function of a spherical and a Gaussian beam medium-size Fabry Perot cavities was studied. The multiple reflections of the beams inside the cavity were simulated for different wavelengths and the perpendicular interference pattern, with a concentric ring’s form, was observed. The necessary conditions, for cavities widths and beams waist around hundreds of microns were identified to observe the pattern rings. The interference signal was studied, in special, the contrast, the peak´s widths and free spectral range because could allow to be used as a low coherence interferometry detector.
