Abstract

This work is framed in the activities of the “Venado Tuerto borehole network project” (Santa Fe, Argentina). Its main purpose is to design a bore hole network to monitore and evaluate changes in the level of groundwater and water quality parameters, systematically. In order to achieve this, a multiparameter probe is acquired. However, due to budget issues, this instrument does not include a water level sensor. This is why it is decided to develop a depth sensor device. It is decided to use an Arduino board due to its quality, scope and low investment cost, greatly reducing the induced error when measuring with much more elementary methods. Satisfactory results are verified experimentally with millimeter precision range.
