Abstract

In this research paper, the basis for the development of an energy management software are created. It facilitates organizations to establish systems and processes for the continuous improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, uses and consumption. Through this analysis, organizations can establish and reach energy goals and objectives. Then they could carry out actions in order to improve their energy performance in the context of a continuous improvement cycle plan.

Three study stages have been defined and, as a consequence, a standard process has been reached. The standardization allows for it to be used by any organization and reduce the time of analysis. The three stages are: Energy Profile, Energy Performance Indicators (ENPI) and Energy Baselines (ENB).
