Abstract

Currently, there is an increasing need by local authorities and institutions related to Argentine agricultural activities to have accurate and real-time information for being able to make informed decisions in the case of agricultural crops and agrochemicals application planning in neighboring municipalities and agricultural areas. This strategy should be based on having reliable and permanent information on the main meteorological variables such as wind speed and direction in the case of making applications with agrochemicals and fostered by the increased information provided by the remote equipment, regarding temperature, humidity, pressure barometric and rainfall precipitation. The scope of this research is aimed at exploring the development of a telemetry system to solve these range of problems. The meteorological information must be secure, without losing data, and it should be stored and remain traceable for further analysis.
