Abstract

The premature deterioration of the retarding layers of the reflected fissures causes repeated maintenance tasks in the rehabilitation layers placed on them, generating increases in the costs of pavement conservation. In search of improving this situation, geogriilas and geosynthetics have been interposed in these layers, implying higher costs, than in some projects, it can be prohibitive. This creates the need to improve the sand - asphalt layers normally used in these tasks, as one of the most competitive alternatives. That is why it is hypothesized that the sand - asphalt layers with high dust content of out-of-use tires (NFU) will have better elastic characteristics and fatigue resistance, together with the rehabilitation layer placed above, resulting in longer system life For this reason, the objective is to study the response on dynamic request of asphalt mixtures retarding the cracking reflex elaborated with asphalts strongly modified with NFU powder and its comparison with conventional systems
