It is proposed to validate in fieldwork an ad-hoc tool that would allow a comprehensive assessment of the visual environment. This tool has been developed within the framework of the doctoral thesis of the main author of this paper. The development of this research will allow us to test the tool used, which is the result of a previous Delphi study. As a result, we will be able to measure the space and evaluate its virtues in terms of simplicity, ease of use, validity, reliability and non-intrusiveness. The general objective is to achieve an integrated lighting evaluation of the library of the central headquarters of the University of Mendoza. For this purpose, it was proposed to validate the tool created. The results obtained show that the methodology used allows a lighting evaluation of the space and the data indicate that the illuminance levels requested by the standard are not achieved. The user's appreciation of the library is positive.
