Pyrolysis is a versatile technology that contribute to minimize global warming risks and applied to agro industrial residues can develop alternative energy sources. The results of the thermal pyrolysis of corn bioethanol industry byproducts, Dried Distilled Grains with Solubles and a parameter conditioning were studied using a laboratory scale reactor system in order to optimize the bio-oil yield. The results show that the bio-oil yield was the largest at 550°C temperature reaction, with a flow rate of 50ml min-1 of N2 and 10 minutes. It was showed that small particle size and higher drying temperatures enhance the production of bio-oil. Thermal pyrolysis of corn bioethanol industry byproducts is expected to be a useful process to obtain high value chemicals.
