Abstract

In this work, the aim is to formulate a procedure for constructing operational curves for simple differential distillation of binary mixtures at constant pressure, utilizing liquid-vapor equilibrium data. The development of this method aims to provide a more direct alternative as compared to current approaches for solving and analysing the engineering problems that arise in Chemical Engineering Unit Operations courses. This, in turn, will facilitate and enhance students' comprehension when addressing the study of this operation.
