Abstract

The present work consists of a structural improvement of the two-axis photovoltaic solar tracker project with a driving force, which is made up of a vertical axis that gives the installation of PV panels a tracking of the Sun from East to West, and an axis horizontal that gives said installation a tracking of the Sun at its altitude. In its tracking of the Sun at the first and last hours of the day, as the installation has a steep slope, the weight of the photovoltaic panels and the structure come to be located in front of the horizontal axis of the head. To improve the above, its configuration was redesigned by passing the arms and the support structure behind the direction of its axis of rotation, and thus be able to lower the center of gravity of the assembly and become independent
of it in the movement of the head.
