Abstract

This work shows the evaluation of the learning outcome (RA) related to the ability to communicate effectively within the framework of the social, political and attitudinal competencies defined by CONFEDI and that today form part of the General Chemistry planning of the UTN. -FRC. The objective of the work was to evaluate the RA based on an analytical rubric. For this purpose, the group preparation of a first laboratory report was requested from 1st year students of the industrial engineering degree during the first semester of 2023.
The report evaluation criteria were specifically defined based on a report model to follow, similar to a template without the possibility of editing. The presentation and explanation of the evaluation instrument was previously carried out in person and delivery was requested through the course's virtual classroom. The evaluation and grading of the work that the students received was carried out through the virtual classroom. The results were processed and the analysis showed that 66.7% of the reports reached the mandatory performance levels. 14.8% must review two or fewer evaluation criteria to achieve the development of competence. The evaluation criteria that presented the greatest difficulty were the preparation of the introduction (22.2%), the conclusion; citations and references, and the identification of tables, graphs and images (18.5%). A 2nd report is expected in the second quarter.
