Abstract

The discomfort of students, while they are studying, is a variable that affects the development of educational activities, an inadequate furniture prevents the execution of the task from being favorable and the consequent poor posture can increase the risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders.
A well-designed workplace is important to prevent illness and to ensure productive work.
It is relevant to have our own local studies about anthropometric characteristics of the students.
As main objectives this paper proposed to determine the ergonomic aspects that influence the discomfort of students in the classroom of the UTN Santa Fe University and to know anthropometric measurements of this population.
To evaluate the mismatches between the university student’s anthropometric measurements and the current educational furniture will allow us to generate proposals in order to reduce fatigue and to increase students comfort in the near future.
