Abstract

In the experiments carried out, the behavior of the wind in a 3D digital model of a crop field was simulated in openFOAM® using the SIMPLE algorithm. Variations in the flow velocity of an air mass as a function of orientation were studied. With these tests, the study of the behavior of the wind in vineyards begins, to quantify and develop experimental and numerical models, specifically applied to wind erosion on vine crops (Vitis vinifera L.) in the Province of Mendoza.
