Abstract

The present work describes material created for the autonomous and self-regulated learning of the topic Complex Numbers. This topic is part of the prior knowledge that students should master upon (resolution of the Superior Council) entering an engineering degree, although experience shows that this is not satisfy. Due to this, as part of the Project “Integration of Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics Content, Development of Basic Engineering Competencies, Taxonomic Methods, and Transversality”, a self-learning module was planned with supporting instructional material, respecting each student’s needed time to achieve the objective. It consists of audiovisual materials with explanatory documentation that are being developed by advanced students and supervised by teachers. These are planned to be shared, depending on the complexity, in the virtual campuses of the University Admission space and/or in those of the Mathematics and/or Integrative Subjects subjects.
