The V Congress on Research and Technology Transfer in Electrical Engineering (CITTIE 2026) was held on May 7–8, 2026, at the Santa Fe Regional Faculty (FRSF) of the National Technological University (UTN). It was organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Center for Research and Development in Electrical Engineering and Energy Systems (CIESE). This fifth edition consolidated CITTIE as a forum for interaction and exchange among researchers, faculty members, students, professionals, companies, and institutions involved in Electrical Energy Engineering.

This Book of Proceedings documents a significant part of the Congress activities and includes information on its organization, participating institutions, companies representing the productive sector, plenary and semi-plenary lectures, and the research contributions presented. Fourteen UTN Regional Faculties participated, along with other university institutions. The contributions addressed six thematic areas related to electric power generation, transmission, and distribution, renewable energies, distributed generation and energy storage, energy management and power quality, regulation and environmental impact, digital transformation, and Electrical Energy Engineering education.

The 2026 edition introduced, for the first time, a specific Student Papers category, strengthening the participation of undergraduate students in research and scientific communication activities. The program was complemented by lectures on the main challenges and transformations facing the energy sector, presentations by representatives of the productive sector, networking activities, and a visit to research and technology-transfer laboratories. The Congress also promoted institutional collaboration, highlighted by the establishment of the UTN Electrical Energy Engineering Network (RIEE UTN). In this regard, this document constitutes not only a record of the contributions presented at CITTIE 2026, but also a testimony to the growth of a nationwide community focused on research, technology transfer, education, and the development of Electrical Energy Engineering in Argentina.
