Achievements and challenges regarding the catalytic production of 2nd generation valeric biofuels
Keywords:
Valeric biofuels, provincial biomass, Multifunctional catalysis, multidisciplinaryAbstract
In this work, we present the main characteristics of second-generation valeric biofuels, explaining the most important catalytic production routes, the achievements made in recent years in this line of research at INCAPE - CCT Santa Fe, and also highlighting the main challenges ahead. Finally, we explain the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to the topic, highlighting the importance of integrating chemical engineering with other branches of engineering to assess the technical potential of these biofuels for the energy transition of transportation and mobility in the province of Santa Fe.
