New technologies in competency-based education: didactic proposals in Algebra and Algebra and Analytic Geometry.
Keywords:
educational technology, competencies, Algebra and Analytic GeometryAbstract
The objective of this paper is to present the didactic proposals that, within the framework of the competency-based education approach, have been developed by the teaching teams of the subjects Algebra and Algebra and Analytical Geometry. In this context, one of these proposals involved incorporating the use of technology in both subjects through the design and implementation of audiovisual and hypermedia materials as support for in-person classes. The material designed in this way, hosted on the virtual classroom of the courses, facilitated the incorporation of other methodological strategies, such as Flexible Learning, allowing students to receive multiple options regarding when, where, and how to learn. Finally, possible future actions are presented, incorporating the didactic use of technology and aiming not only to develop the subject’s content but also to foster the competencies and skills necessary for the training and future professional development of the students.
