Vibration energy harvesting with a piezoelectric circular diaphragm (buzzer)
Keywords:
Energy harvesting, piezoelectricity, vibrationAbstract
Experimental and numerical results of studies carried out on piezoelectric energy harvesters with circular geometry, buzzers. These harvesters allow a wide versatility of use in the recovery of energy from vibratory sources, basically coming from common phenomena in the field of engineering. A circular mass is attached to the setup to tune working frequencies and also increasing the generated power. Experimental results are presented for 2 different link configurations, and comparisons with finite element models using the COMSOL Multiphysics® program. In all the cases studied, emphasis was placed on the generation of energy at resonance frequencies, values that are determined experimentally and that comes from the resonance frequency near the engine of a John Deere brand harvester, which is intended to be assisted with ignition sensors and thus prevent fires in this type of equipment.
