Abstract

Develop materials for a three-dimensional ophthalmological simulator aimed at bio-pharmaceutical evaluation. This simulator will be created using 3D printing technology and aims to accurately simulate the human ocular environment to evaluate the effectiveness of drug delivery systems. The use of biomimetic models generated through 3D printing allows for in vitro testing of drug release and permeation under physiological conditions similar to those of the human eye. The project also includes the evaluation of different additive manufacturing technologies and polymeric materials to ensure they meet the necessary requirements. The ultimate goal is to improve the effectiveness and safety of ophthalmological treatments, reducing reliance on animal testing and optimizing the development of new pharmaceutical products for ocular conditions.
