Abstract

In the present work, a thin-walled beam model is introduced, created using graded ceramic/metallic functional materials with the inclusion of mechanical resonators. A computational model is built through finite element discretization of a weak formulation associated with the virtual work principle. With this computational approach, studies are carried out aimed at detecting attenuation bands in the frequency domain.
