Abstract

The meeting seeks to promote and disseminate the most recent research in the field of the fishing industry and engineering, under the motto: We learn from the sea, which will be developed in the following thematic axes:
Fishing-aquaculture resources and their value chain. Application of scientific-technological knowledge with the purpose of increasing the competitiveness of the sector, through value addition and quality differentiation.
Fishing economy, environment and sustainable development. Survey and analysis of socioeconomic data on fishing. Analysis of the fishing market, nationally and internationally. Triple impact on the sector. Circular economy. Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Ecosystem approach to fishing.
Education, science, technology and innovation: Articulation of the fishing-aquaculture model with the academic sector. Use of new tools.
Public policies for fisheries-aquaculture development. Fishing policies. Regulatory and institutional framework. Legal aspects of the sea. Regulation of the cultivation of aquatic organisms. Gender perspective in the sector.
Fishing-aquaculture research and development. Incorporation of scientific-technological knowledge in the fishing industry with innovative results. Technology applied to the cultivation of aquatic organisms. Knowledge transfer with the public and private sector.
Technology within the framework of a sustainable activity. Technological applications that promote measures to care for fishing resources and impact the current economic model.
It is important to emphasize that the organization We Learn from the Sea – CONIPE 2023 will be aimed at generating and promoting frank dialogues on the main investigations in the field of research and the fishing industry so that the time shared in the commissions is useful, fruitful and, above all, everything, build a resonance towards the future.
