Abstract

This project seeks to design permeable concrete modules for storm drains in the city of Santa Fe in order to contribute to purifying storm runoff water. This is based on its ability to retain contaminating agents from the fluid that passes through its internal structure, using it to purify rainwater before entering the urban drainage system. These modules would act as filters, improving the quality of the effluent, reducing the waste that clogs the system and contaminates the environment. Based on numerical modeling and computed tomography results, it was possible to contrast the design requirements of the module with respect to the characteristics of permeable concrete, considering it possible to materialize them and advance in future stages on the evaluation of the capacity to reduce water contaminants. of stormwater runoff.
