Abstract

This paper describes the generation of calculation sheets to verify steel bars subjected to bending. Since the research project of which we are scholarship holders analyzes the behavior of a steel structure, we have developed a spreadsheet that verifies the ultimate limit states of bars subjected to bending. Most of the commercial calculation programs used in Argentina work with equations from CIRSOC (*) 301 published in 2005, which is a derivative of the American AISC 360, from 1999. To work with more modern equations, we had to carry out our own calculation systems applying the equations of the ANSI AISC 360 – 22 Regulation published in August 2022 (ANSI AISC 360/22) These self-developed calculation sheets are used to verify the reports issued by the structural calculation software used in the PID.
